PLEASE DO NOT COME INTO OUR OFFICE WITHOUT CALLING FIRST, even for the picking up of lenses or solutions. We have to manage the number of patients in our office at any one time and the flow so that we can maintain safe social distancing. Although our office hours are fairly consistent now, we still recommend that you call first. It is especially important to call first on Thursdays or Saturdays to make sure whether there is someone in the office.

Please note that although the province has removed the mask mandate for indoor use in most locations it remains in place in all health professional’s offices. Our college has also confirmed that it is still in effect for our offices. Therefore it is still mandatory for a mask to be worn into the office until further notice. We are also asking that you sanitize your hands upon entering and exiting the office. In order to protect everyone, we will ask some questions to determine if it is safe for you to attend the office such as:

  1. Are you experiencing any fever, cough or shortness of breath?
  2. Have you recently returned from domestic or international travel?
  3. Have you interacted recently with someone who either is suspected or has been confirmed to have the COVID 19 virus?

Our hours are now 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 10:00 am to 4:30 pm. Until further notice, we are not open Saturdays on a regular basis (we are open some Saturdays). As of Dec 3rd, 2020, we have not been in the office every Thursday for in office appointments or pick-ups. However, we do answer the phone for our posted hours on Thursdays. Please note that we are often here after posted hours Mon to Wed and Friday; if someone is here we answer the phone. Please be aware that these hours may change depending on the COVID 19 situation.

If you do not want to come into the office, we can still order replacement lenses for you if you have a file with our office. We can ship them out to you, direct from the manufacturer, at no additional cost (in many cases) until the end of December 2021. However, there are some exceptions to this. Please call and we will be happy to answer any questions.

Cancellation fees will be waived if you cancel due to illness or suspected exposure to COVID-19.

Our phone message should have the most up to date information. We are trying to keep our website, and google listing current as well but there can be a delay on updating them. It is also impossible to provide details on the google listing. Please check the answering machine on the telephone first, and then the website second.

We have been open for routine work since May 2020. However, there are protocols in place that reduce the number of patients that we can see due to social distancing and the disinfection protocols that we are following.

We continue to perform several precautions to keep everyone safe. All staff are washing their hands and/or using alcohol sanitizer frequently and always before and after patients. We are sanitizing counters, payment machines, door knobs, light switches, pens, telephones, keyboards, chairs, etc. We are cleaning any surface that is touched in between patients. All equipment surfaces and hand held items are sanitized between usage. We are booking appointments well apart to make sure that we can maintain social distancing as much as possible and to allow time to complete cleaning procedures. All our currently working staff have been fully vaccinated.

Our staffing is still somewhat reduced, so please be patient with us.

It is our fervent hope that we can avoid a fourth wave by continuing to vaccinate, and that everyone stays safe and healthy.
