PLEASE DO NOT COME INTO OUR OFFICE WITHOUT CALLING FIRST, even for the picking up of lenses or solutions. We have to manage the number of patients in our office at any one time and the flow so that we can maintain safe social distancing. Currently, we have variable office hours without prior notice, so that is another reason to call first.

We are trying to answer the phones from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Monday to Thursday, Friday 10:00 am to 4:30 pm and Saturday 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.  If we are closed for holidays such as Victoria day, Monday May 18th, and the Saturday prior May 16th  we will not be answering the phone on those days. You will be able to leave a message on those days.

We have now reopened for routine work; we are no longer limited to urgent or emergency care.  However, there are protocols in place that reduce the number of patients that we can see due to social distancing and the disinfection protocols that we are following. We are asking our patients to mask if possible to protect themselves and others, but it is not mandatory.  Contact lens licensed Opticians will be masked as soon as we get closer than 6 feet. We are also asking that you sanitize your hands upon entering and exiting the office, which is mandatory. In order to protect everyone, we will ask some questions to determine if it is safe for you to attend the office such as:

1) Are you experiencing any fever, cough or shortness of breath?

2) Have you recently returned from domestic or international travel?

3) Have you interacted with someone who is suspected or confirmed to carry the COVID 19 virus?

If you do not want to come into the office, we can still order replacement lenses for you if you have a file with our office. We can ship them out to you and at no additional cost direct from the manufacturer in many cases. However, there are some exceptions to this. Please call and we will be happy to answer any questions.

Cancellation fees will be waived if you cancel due to illness or suspected exposure to COVID-19.

Our phone message should have the most up to date information. We are trying to keep our website, and google listing current as well but there can be a delay on updating them. It is also impossible to provide details on the google listing. Please check the answering machine on the telephone first, and then the website second.

We have added several precautions to keep everyone safe. All staff are washing their hands and/or using alcohol sanitizer frequently and always before and after patients. We are sanitizing counters, payment machines, door knobs, light switches, pens, telephones, keyboards, chairs, etc. We are cleaning any surface that is touched in between patients. All equipment surfaces and hand held items are sanitized between usage. We are booking appointments well apart to make sure that we can maintain social distancing as much as possible.

We have reduced staff due to school closures and other factors, so please be patient with us.
